The effects of Botox typically last between 3 to 6 months. The muscle action gradually returns, and the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear, requiring retreatment to maintain the effect.

Most people report only minor discomfort, describing the sensation as a quick, small pinch. Topical anesthesia or ice can be used to numb the area before injection to minimize discomfort.

Possible side effects include bruising, swelling at the injection site, headache, or flu-like symptoms. Drooping eyelids or eyebrows are a rare but reversible side effect if the Botox migrates from the injection site.
